MakauTech is a gamified tourism web app designed specifically for Sibu, Sarawak. We turn sightseeing into an adventure — visit real places, play mini games, leave reviews, and earn points along the way. Whether you're a local or a visitor, MakauTech helps you discover the hidden gems of Sibu's rich Foochow heritage, vibrant markets, and stunning natural landscapes.
Our Mission
Encourage locals and tourists to discover Sibu's hidden gems — from the mighty Rajang River to centuries-old Foochow temples — through a fun, points-based gamification system that rewards real exploration.
How It Works
Visit places (+5 pts), write reviews (+10 pts), and play 4 tourism mini games (up to 50 pts each). Climb the ranks from Newbie to Bronze, Silver, and Gold as you explore more of Sibu.
Achievements
Unlock 10 unique badges as you explore — from First Step (visit 1 place) all the way to Champion (5,000 pts). Each badge is a milestone on your journey through Sibu.
